Brandon

Wark

for Greeley City Council Ward 2

“I’m dedicated to ensuring Greeley remains affordable for hardworking families. Our city is a great place to live, and I want to keep it that way!”

ELECTION DAY: Tues, November 4th

Meet Brandon

My name is Brandon Wark, and I’m asking for your vote and your support for City Council this November.

I’m a third-generation Colorado Native, born and raised in our Great State. I’m fortunate to have been raised by a loving and hardworking family. I’m no stranger to cutting costs to make ends meet. My parents worked hard to provide a good life, and I know hard work is what it takes to accomplish goals in life.

I’m fortunate to be a Greeley homeowner, and I appreciate that Greeley is a place where families can afford to buy a home, and raise their children. Last year, I was an advocate for repealing the Food Tax, to lower the grocery bills for Greeley residents.

Greeley Issues

Affordability: The high cost-of-living has made life harder for many people in Colorado. One of the reasons life has become so expensive is the increase in property taxes, inflation (caused by government spending), and costly regulations on small businesses (which also destroys jobs). As your City Council Member, I will do what I can to lower the financial burden on the residents of the City. If possible, I’d like to eliminate the food tax, lower property taxes, and lower fees for local, small businesses.

Transparency: The City Government can do better at keeping the people of Greeley informed and aware of what the city is doing. I’d like to see the Check Register accessible online (many Colorado cities and counties already do this), so that citizens can see exactly how the City is spending their tax money. The City of Greeley had previously livestreamed our City Council Meetings on YouTube, but now, residents can only watch on the City’s website. The City also used to post Police Department updates on social media. I’d like the Greeley Police to use social media to share important information about crime, wanted suspects, and keep City Residents informed about what’s happening.

Government Must Serve the People: The City Government exists to serve the people. We all work hard to earn a living and provide for our families. And when the City takes our money through taxation, they have a duty to use the money responsibly. As your City Council member, I understand the importance of serving the community. I’d like to see the City develop an online portal for residents to voice their concerns and have the city respond promptly.

Here’s a bit more about me, written by a friend:

Brandon is a citizen journalist. He creates YouTube videos, focusing on what’s going on with Colorado politics while maintaining a staunch stance on making Colorado more free and affordable. He also runs the website Free State Colorado. As a citizen journalist, he operates on a budget of $0. He’s not funded by any scammy PACs or dark money like ActBlue.

He has 10.5 thousand followers on X.com, where he started posting nearly 3 years ago. Brandon voluntarily runs the Northern Colorado chapter of Liberty on the Rocks, a community for individuals who value liberty to connect, share ideas, and promote freedom through local gatherings and events.

All of the above he does out of a passion for liberty. He’s also a salesman by day and formerly worked on cruise ships, traveling the world. He’s visited dozens of countries and learned how lucky we are to live in the United States and in Colorado. Traveling inspired him to get involved here at home.

Brandon is a fighter for the little guy and gals – the working class — while supporting free markets, entrepreneurship, and businesses, especially small businesses.

His political experience includes serving on the Weld County Redistricting Committee and the Keenesburg Government Efficiency Committee.

Brandon also worked as a Legislative Aide in the State House, where he learned about policy making, government operations and citizen involvement.

Here are two recent video interviews Brandon published on the West Greeley Cascadia Project.

This video is with Sherrie Peif, a long-time Greeley journalist and it was filmed in July of this year. Sherrie explains how Certificates of Participation (COPs) are being used to finance the project.

This one was with Cory Gaines, a citizen journalist who explained how the city of Greeley denied voters their right to vote and circumvented the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights.

Only voters within Greeley City Council Ward 2 can vote for Brandon Wark.

Not sure if you live in Ward 2? Check your ballot or find out here.
